10 Easy Ways to Engage Your Children's Hearts and Minds for Jesus

Teach your kids the truth of the Bible so they don't walk away from it later.

Parenting is tough. And it's the most important job you have.

So many parents start with the Bible, but they don't engage their kids to have a faith that is their own.

We want to help you with our FREE guide to help you teach your kids to own their faith.

Don't let this happen...

You know what I'm talking about.

You've met those children or heard about those kids whose parents did everything right.

They took their kids to church. They read their kids the Bible and taught them the stories. They told them what to believe.

And their kids seemed to accept it.

Some of them may have even professed a faith in Jesus or been baptized.

But then they got older and they totally walked away from the faith their parents had taught them. They may even reject it completely and be antagonistic towards Christianity and Jesus.

What happened?

So many people have experienced this first-hand. And it's so painful.

But what if there was a way to "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6; ESV)?

I'm here to help.

My name is Tricia Calik and I'm the Children's Minsitry Director at Simple Church in West Des Moines, Iowa. Besides being in ministry, I received my Master's Degree in Special Education and then spent over a decade working in developmental preschool programs to help teachers and children, especially those with special needs, discover learning outcomes that could transform even the hardest circumstances.

I also have two young boys who I want to grow up with a faith that is their own rather than just being able to parrot my faith that I've taught them.

So this is personal to me.

I've spent years discovering and teaching the Bible to young kids and I'm excited to help equip parents to do the same.

There's one thing most parents have in common when it comes to teaching their kids about Jesus and Christianity and the Bible - they only teach Bible stories.

And the Bible and a life transformed by the love of Jesus and following after Him is more than "just" a Bible Story.

Kids learn best not by just hearing a story but by interacting and engaging with the story.

I've put together ten easy things any parent can do from five spiritual rhythms that help children explore the Bible and their faith in a way that they will respond to for the rest of their lives.
