They took their kids to church. They read their kids the Bible and taught them the stories. They told them what to believe. 

 

And their kids seemed to accept it. 

 

Some of them may have even professed a faith in Jesus or been baptized.

 

But then they got older and they totally walked away from the faith their parents had taught them. They may even reject it completely and be antagonistic towards Christianity and Jesus.

 

What happened?

 

So many people have experienced this first-hand. And it's so painful. 

 

But what if there was a way to "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6; ESV)?

I'm here to help.

My name is Amie Pruitt and I'm the Children's Minster at Simple Church in West Des Moines, Iowa. Besides being in ministry, I worked in a Christian care center with two year olds through 5th grade. I spent time preparing curriculum for Wednesday chapels and many other fun activities. I also worked as a Special Education Associate in a local school district. 

 

I also have a daughter who I want to grow up with a faith that is her own rather than just being able to parrot my faith that I've taught her.

 

So this is personal to me. 

 

I've spent years discovering and teaching the Bible to young kids and I'm excited to help equip parents to do the same.
