A Phased Plan to Gather In-Person

Why this page? Reasonable people equally informed seldom disagree.

There's never going to be a method or trick to ensure that there is zero risk to the spreading of disease. But we can be intentional about when and how we come back so that when we come back together in-person the heart of our church - connecting people with Jesus and each other - remains.

Phase 0: March 22 - May 10

  • All services online at
  • Children's and Youth Ministries online
  • All Life Groups, Bible Studies, and other in-person events either cancelled or moved to an online platform

Phase 1: May 17 - June 21

  • All services online at
  • Children's and Youth Ministries online
  • All Life Groups, Bible Studies, and other connection opportunities on an online platform
  • Small, in-home gatherings to share the Sunday service together with family, friends, or Life Groups encouraged.
  • Simple Church Ministry Team can help with tech set-up.
  • The home owner(s) are responsible to invite who they feel comfortable inviting and take measures to protect their guests.

Phase 2: June 28 - TBD

  • All services online at, at an in-home gathering, AND in person at the Event Center West Sundays at 10:00am
  • At the Event Center for in person gatherings:
  • Individuals and families have the personal responsibility to decide how to attend and and are encouraged to refrain from attending a large gathering if they are ill or at high-risk.
  • Simple Church will be taking measures to limit risk while balancing the ability to connect authentically and allowing personal responsibility to dictate interactions.
  • All surfaces will be sanitized before and after service and hand sanitizer will be readily available.
  • Volunteers will have their temperatures taken and those serving coffee will be wearing masks.
  • No food will be available. Only coffee and water will be served in the cafe area.
  • Masks will be available but will not be required - it is the personal responsibility of each individual to do what they believe is best for them and those around them.
  • Socially-distanced seating will be available.
  • Name tags and printed materials like message notes will not be available. Digital versions will be offered.
  • Offerings will be accepted online or at the Hub in the lobby area.
  • We will ask that people refrain from singing out loud if they are not wearing a mask.
  • Children's Ministry available in person at Event Center West with limited capacity
  • Limited capacity: reservations encouraged to ensure availability - Pre-registration will open the Monday before each week as long as restrictions are required.
  • Volunteers and Children will have temperatures taken and will not be permitted to enter if they are above 100.4.
  • Children who have been ill or had a fever in the past 72 hours will not be allowed into Children's Ministry.
  • Only one adult will be allowed to check their child in and out.
  • All Life Groups, Bible Studies, and other connection opportunities continue online.

Phase 3: TBD (September if possible)

  • All services will be both online (live-streamed) and in-person.
  • Children's Ministry and Youth ministry will be in-person.
  • Life Groups, Bible Studies, and other connection opportunities will be a mixture of in-person and online.
